We named our company Ice Cream Fine Storybooks, because everyone loves Ice Cream and our goal is to publish great stories that everyone loves. We included 'Fine' in our name because we want our stories to be great stories that you can read over and over again like seeing an old friend and ones that challenge our imaginations with memorable characters, beautiful illustrations and fine writing. Even a picture book should be well written with words that you may not hear every day but challenge the readers and expand their vocabulary.
Our books are printed in the U.S. using the best paper and colored ink. The cost for printing color picture books is very expensive compared to books with fewer colors per page. The more pages a book has the more it costs to print it. The Little Green Frond has only 36 pages while Ug has 82 pages so our costs to print Ug are much higher than the cost of printing Little Green Frond which is reflected in the price. We try to find ways to keep our costs down while at the same time finding ways to give you the best value for your money. For example, we can charge you a flat handling fee and no postage costs when you ship you your books whether you have 1 book or 4 books in your order the fee is the same of $ 3.00 per order.
