Kate Buss is an author and illustrator who grew up in Lake Forest, Illinois.  After graduating from Lake Forest High School, she received a bachelor’s degree in studio art from the College of William and Mary, Williamsburg, Virginia.  She later earned an MBA from the University of Montana and served as a Captain in the U.S. Army reserves.

Kate has a lifelong passion for art and storytelling and pursues her passions through her books. She has written and illustrated several of her own books and illustrated books for other authors. Kate currently lives in the Twin Cities area of Minnesota with her husband and daughter.
